Lizard Point Exhibition

5月の26日から個展やります。 ばしょは『Bar沙羅』ぜひきてください!

I will keep my new private exhibition from 26th of May in Bar Sara near Gakugei Daigaku station. The exhibition will last two weeks until 9th of June. If you are near the area, do drop by and taste some of the exquisite alcohol as well.

Bar Sara is a simple but very attractive place. The owner has a remarkable and unique taste for art and beauty. I am really honored by this chance.

From The Healing Island

Going to Jeju island in June really changed my life. It was one of the most unique places I’ve ever known. Therefore I feel it’s important for myself to portray the photos I took there. (And quite honestly, I don’t have that coherent portfolio..)

A lot has happened in my personal life after this crazy summer. I’ve felt so tired, and sometimes I’ve felt like I’m walking with a bleeding feet or balancing on a tightrope. All this time I’ve felt these burning feelings of self-doubt which must have greatly annoyed you, my friends (thanks for being my friend anyway).

However, I just can’t stop taking photos, no matter what. So here is another exhibition which is my third this year.

My new exhibition “From the Healing Island” will start from November 18th. I hope to see you in the opening party which starts from six a clock in 18th.

Yoshidamachi Gallery

Four of my photos under title “Japan 日本” will be exhibited in Yoshidamachi Gallery in Yokohama from this Monday until Saturday. It is ten minutes walk from Sakuragicho station.
I will also perform live in Saturday’s closing party. The other artist performing is my friend Vidya Murti. I hope to see you there.

From Here Sometimes, Here and Then..

It’s been quite a week! It was amazing for me, that so many wonderful people came to see my exhibition. Everyday turned out to be a party of it’s own kind, really amazing, happiest time I’ve ever had.

Your presence made the event; thank you.

Now, I just want to stay quiet and listen.

Here Sometimes, Tomorrow

My photo exhibition Here Sometimes will start from tomorrow. It has been quite a journey to get here. I really want to say thanks for everyone who was involved in making the photos.

Especially I want to say thanks to Saeko Nakahara, the beautiful model in the photo “Adoption”  which is now in the front page, Maya Sinji Jung, my sister and big teacher in Jeju, and Turo Halinen who took the top photo in this post.

I also want to say thanks for my wife for allowing me to do what I want.

We have opening party at 6.00PM in the gallery tomorrow. I hope you can make it before the wine disappears.

Here Sometimes in Art Mania Gallery 23.-29. July.
